On Election Day, I would like you to seriously consider casting one of your votes to Christopher Tentindo for Selectman. During my twelve years of employment with Partners HealthCare, the largest employer in the state of Massachusetts, I have been able to implement many effective changes that not only have increased productivity but also have cut operating expenses. Due to effective tracking systems that I have implemented, tangible improvements can be accurately calculated. The following statistics reflect increased demands on this department while the staff size has remained constant during my tenure.
I communicate and coordinate with multiple institutions, department heads, project managers, vendors, doctors and customers on a continual basis while prioritizing their needs and allocating resources to meet those needs and deadlines. Under my direction, the IS warehouse has been commended for our involvement in the following projects: Shapiro Cardiovascular install McLean Hospital integration Yawkey Center install Foxboro Patriot Place install DFCI Londonderry install Nantucket Cottage Hospital integration Martha’s Vineyard integration NSMC integration Spaulding Rehab integration HCRI integration WinXP implementation WOW implementation EMAPP implementation Safeboot implementation MGH upgrade project IS upgrade project MGH/BWH warehouse integration Y2K transition team
I am a hands-on manager who is proactive rather than reactive. I have proven that I can delegate tasks while utilizing all available resources to accomplish goals. My department has earned an excellent reputation by meeting the needs of our user population. Colleagues and superiors have repeatedly commended me for my diligence.
I am proud to be part of the exponential growth of Partners. Likewise, I would embrace the opportunity to use my experience helping Georgetown continue to thrive in this difficult economy. I look forward to seeing you around town and on Election Day May 11th. I will bring new unbiased energy to the board. Thank you for taking the time to consider me as one of your Selectman. Sincerely, Christopher Tentindo Of the people, by the people and for the people

Dear Neighbors, The Tentindos have been part of this community for fifteen years and we could not be happier to call Georgetown our home. Our children have grown up with yours in the Georgetown School system. We consider many of our son’s and daughter’s friends extended family. Georgetown is at a cross roads and we need leadership that can focus on the task at hand. We have many citizens in the public and private sector that have the knowledge to move us forward economically and fiscally. It is time we ask them to step forward and join us in a common goal. Georgetown is far from lacking in community spirit and it is one of our best assets. Our issues are the same as any other municipality or corporation. We need to control our growth at a rate the town can handle in regard to new homes or new businesses. We need to maintain our small town atmosphere. After all, what attracted most of us to Georgetown?
In simple terms, we need to control our spending and insure we are getting the best return on investment for our money. There is no need to reinvent the wheel here. We just need to apply best practices. Create an atmosphere to attract business that we want to see thrive in Georgetown. We need to ensure our departments communicate their short and long term needs. We may need to consolidate tasks that overlap across departments and leverage our buying power as most fiscally responsible institution practice. We also need to control our spending without compromising the safety of our community or our town employees. Times will change and Georgetown will thrive again. We just need to have the dominos in line to fall the way we want them to fall in our community. We all have an equal share and an equal say to how we proceed from here. Georgetown has many boards and volunteers on those boards that help shape Georgetown into what it is today. I like what I see and that is why we live here. In a community leader’s eyes, they need to look at every day as an opportunity to better our community. We need a six month plan, a one year plan and a three year plan in regards to big expenditures and growth.. This is where our department heads come into play. There should never be surprises around the corner unless there is a true actual emergency. We all know the old adage. Fail to plan and plan to fail. The selectman, regardless who carries the burden over the next three years, needs to remember whom they have stepped forward to serve? We owe it to our children and parents to leave a legacy of cooperation for the common good. Politics as usual needs to be put into a time out until it is ready to come back in and sit at the dinner table.
Sincerely, your neighbor
Christopher Tentindo Candidate for Selectman
